On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10:21 p.m., officers responded to a crash at East Mallory Avenue and Watson Street. Officers located a male who had been operating a go-kart when he was struck by a silver 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. The male in the go-kart was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the Malibu left the vehicle and fled the area on foot.

The unknown driver was described as a Black male, approximately 6’1″, and 160-180 pounds. He wore a light blue shirt and pants. He had “popcorn” style hair.
