On Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:48 p.m., officers responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash at South Third Street and East Biscayne Road. Officers located a male pedestrian who had been struck and was pronounced deceased. The driver did not remain on the scene. The investigation revealed that a gray four-door sedan was traveling north on South Third Street when it struck the pedestrian and fled. The vehicle will have front-end damage and was last seen westbound on East Biscayne Road.
