On August 6, 2025, at 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a pedestrian struck at Poplar Avenue near Cresthaven Road. An unknown hit-and-run driver struck and fatally injured a male pedestrian and fled the scene. The vehicle responsible is a dark-colored Chevrolet Trax, driven by a White male. The vehicle will have possible damage to the front and undercarriage.
