Fugitive Operation Leads to Drug and Firearm Seizures on Ardwick Drive

On May 7, 2026, at approximately 10:53 a.m., members of the Memphis Police Department Fugitive Unit, alongside MSTF personnel, arrived at an apartment in the 6900 block of Ardwick Drive to serve an arrest warrant.

Upon entering the residence, officers encountered Jamell Taylor, 24, and were informed that Anthony Thomas, 27, who had active warrants, was in a back room. Both individuals were detained without incident.

During a check of additional occupants, officers observed firearms and suspected narcotics in plain view.

While officers remained on scene, Jamie Moss, 26, arrived and was identified as a resident of the apartment. He was also detained.

Detectives later obtained and executed a search warrant for the residence. During the search, investigators recovered four handguns, three rifles, weapon magazines, ammunition, digital scales, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, promethazine with codeine, hydrocodone, and a large amount of currency. One of the recovered rifles was confirmed to have been stolen.
