Homicide Suspect Apprehended: 700 Block of Ioka Avenue

On June 25, 2026, at approximately 2:21 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of Ioka Avenue. Officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

During the investigation, homicide investigators developed Jetarius D. Young as the suspect responsible for the shooting.

On July 31, 2026, Jetarius D. Young, 28, was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
