Homicide Suspect Apprehended: 3000 Block of Sharpe Ave

On May 16, 2026, at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 3000 block of Sharpe Avenue. Officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later pronounced deceased.

During the investigation, homicide investigators learned that two male suspects occupying a red or burgundy colored sedan fled the scene after the shooting. Darion Holliway was identified as one of the suspects responsible for the shooting.

On July 30, 2026, Darion Holliway, 20, was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Employing a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Theft of Property under $1,000.
