Mendenhall Homicide

On April 16, 2026, at approximately 4:37 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of S. Mendenhall Road.

Upon arrival, officers located three adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were transported to the hospital in critical condition. One of the victims later succumbed to his injuries.

Officers quickly identified the suspect vehicle connected to the incident. On April 17, 2026, Mt. Moriah Task Force officers, along with federal agents, located the vehicle in the 5900 block of N. Little Brook Circle.

Officers observed the suspect, Travis Richardson, enter the vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered during the incident.

Travis Richardson, 21, has been charged with First Degree Murder, three counts of Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and two counts of Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder.
