On April 14, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to an attempted robbery of a business at S Mart at 6475 East Raines Road. Officers were advised that four male suspects entered the business. Two of the suspects approached the counter armed with handguns, while the other two suspects stood by the front door acting as lookouts. One of the males, armed with a gun, pointed it at the store clerk and demanded everything. A short time later, one of the suspects yelled, “They’re coming, J,” and all four fled southbound on Kirby Parkway on foot. They did not get anything from the business.
