On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle theft at 1908 South Lauderdale Street at Rosewood Market. Officers were advised that the victim parked his 2007 Infiniti M35 in front of the business and left it running while he went inside. The suspect entered the victim’s vehicle, at which point the victim attempted to remove him from the car. The suspect then put the vehicle in reverse and backed up. The victim was holding onto the driver’s side door and was dragged out to the street. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

The victim’s vehicle was later used in a Burglary/Business at 1336 Poplar Avenue and 2477 Summer Avenue, report reference numbers 2506029343ME and 2506029342ME.
