MPD Fugitive Unit Apprehends Suspect Wanted in Fatal Paradise Lounge Shooting

On July 15, 2026, the Memphis Police Department’s Fugitive Unit apprehended 36-year-old Dewuan Harris in the 200 block of South Front Street. 

On July 12, 2026, at approximately 4:25 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at Paradise Lounge, located at 5959 Winchester Road. Officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. 

Harris was identified as the suspect and wanted on charges of First-Degree Murder, Attempted First-Degree Murder (3x), and Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Commit a Dangerous Felony.
