MPD Fugitive Unit Arrests Two Suspects Hours After Warrants Announced; Third Suspect Now Apprehended

On Monday morning, Chief Davis stood with family members and community members at Brookins Street and Mt. Olive Road, where she provided an update on Saturday’s deadly shooting and announced that warrants had been issued for two suspects.

Homicide investigators worked quickly to identify the suspects and secure warrants. Once the warrants were announced, the MPD Fugitive Unit immediately began searching for them. Just hours after the warrants were announced, both suspects were located in Arlington, Tennessee, and taken into custody by the Fugitive Unit. 

Naskial Wilson, 25, was charged with First-Degree Murder, Attempted First-Degree Murder (6X), Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. 

Damion Thomas, 25, was charged with First-Degree Murder, Attempted First-Degree Murder (6X), Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.

On August 12, 2026, the MPD Fugitive Unit apprehended a 16 year-old male juvenile in connection to the shooting and charged him with First-Degree Murder, Attempted First-Degree Murder (6X), Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon to wit: Juvenile.
