On September 10, 2026, the Shelby County Grand Jury returned with a True Bill Indictment on three individuals in connection with this investigation.

Tametria Norry, 49, was arrested and charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, Aggravated Child Neglect, and Destruction/Tampering with Government Records.

Amilya Hardin, 21, has been charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide and Destruction/Tampering with Government Records.

Sabrina Powe, 43, has been charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide and Destruction/Tampering with Government Records.

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 3:23 p.m., officers responded to an ambulance call in the 700 block of Walnut Knoll Lane. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a 6-year-old female victim had been transported to the hospital after being discovered in a vehicle. The victim was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel. There have been no charges filed at this time.
