On March 11, 2026, the Memphis Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit concluded a lengthy undercover investigation that focused on street-level narcotics sales across the city.
From January 2023 through June 2025, officers assigned to the Organized Crime Unit’s Undercover Operations Unit concentrated their efforts on drug dealers in various areas of the city. These individuals were engaged in criminal activities that were observed and documented by undercover officers. Probable cause was presented to a Shelby County Grand Jury on March 5, 2026, and indictments were returned.
The results of this investigation are as follows:
• 45 individuals indicted
• 367 chargeable offenses
• Charges include Manufacture/Deliver/Sale of a Controlled Substance, including crack cocaine, powder cocaine, fentanyl, and various pills
• Convicted felons in possession of firearms
• 19 of the 45 suspects were documented gang members
• The street gangs represented in this roundup included Bloods, Crips, Vice Lords, and Gangster Disciples
• The youngest suspect was a 22-year-old male
• The oldest suspect was a 64-year-old male
• 19 vehicles used to transport illegal drugs were be seized
Through long-term investigations and undercover operations, the Memphis Police Department continues to identify and disrupt illegal drug activity in our community. Investigations like Operation HUSH play a critical role in reducing crime, dismantling criminal networks, and moving Memphis forward as a stronger, safer city.
