Update: During the course of the investigation, Khristopher McKay, 20, was identified as one of the suspects responsible, and was issued a warrant charging him with Aggravated Robbery.

On August 17, 2026, officers located Khristopher McKay in the 6400 block of Country Oaks Cir. where he was taken into custody without further incident.

This investigation remains ongoing.

Update #2: Suspect #2 remains at large. The suspect was described as a thin build Black male with a small afro, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt with “Brookhaven” written on the front in blue letters.

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 7:26 p.m., officers responded to a robbery of an individual at 4635 Raleigh Lagrange Rd at Pride Mart.

Officers were advised that the victim was inside the store when an unknown male wearing all black clothing entered and purchased items before leaving. A short time later, the suspect returned with a second male, who was wearing black clothing with blue writing on his shirt. The two suspects appeared to be shopping before approaching the victim.

Both suspects then pointed handguns at the victim and demanded his property. The suspects took the victim’s black Glock 23 handgun before fleeing the scene in a purple sedan eastbound on Raleigh Lagrange Road.

The suspects are described as:

• Suspect #1: Male wearing all black clothing.
• Suspect #2: Male wearing black clothing with blue writing on his shirt.
