On January 16, 2026, at 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting at Walmart at 6727 Raleigh Lagrange Road. Officers were advised that an unknown Black male entered the business. He filled a shopping cart with steaks and Gain Laundry detergent. The suspect passed all points of sale and tried to exit the store through the grocery entrance without rendering payment. He was stopped at the door by the Greeter. The suspect was not able to produce a receipt. After a brief struggle with the Walmart employee, the suspect fled the scene and got into a black Nissan.

The suspect was a Black male wearing a black coat and black jeans.
