On Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:16 a.m., officers responded to a theft from a motor vehicle call in the 200 block of Mendenhall Road. Officers were advised that a suspect approached the MLGW truck while the suspect vehicle was parked at the corner. The suspect then backed up to the MLGW truck and entered the back seat of the car with the copper wire. A couple of minutes later, the suspect returned to the scene in the suspect vehicle and pulled in front of the MLGW truck. The suspect exited and removed additional copper wire from the back of the MLGW truck, placing it in the trunk of their vehicle.
