On January 5, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers responded to an attempted robbery at the Quick Check Store at 1570 Alcy Road. Officers were advised that a male approached the checkout counter and pulled out a black gun. The clerk pulled out a gun as well and fired a shot, striking the suspect in the upper body. The suspect fled the store on foot, running northbound on Perry Road from Alcy Road. The suspect frequents the area.

The suspect was a thin male, approximately 18 to 22 years old, and 5’2″ to 5’5″ tall. He wore a black cloth covering the lower portion of his face, a white hoodie with a red shirt underneath, black pants, black shoes, and a tattoo over one of his eyebrows. He was armed with a black handgun.
