On August 22, 2026, at 8:31 a.m., officers responded to an auto theft in the 700 block of Patterson Street. Officers were advised that the victim parked his vehicle the night before, and when he came out, it was gone.

At 1:54 p.m., officers responded to an abandoned vehicle at the Cromwell Park Apartments in the 4800 block of Cromwell. The vehicle was the stolen vehicle from Patterson. Officers reviewed video in the complex. At 5:03 a.m., two individuals drove the vehicle into the complex, parked the car, and walked away.
