On August 4, 2026, at approximately 8:56 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 2800 block of Faxon Ave. Officers made the scene and observed a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The male was later pronounced deceased on the scene.
During the investigation, homicide investigators determined that Tomarrion Smith, 19, was responsible for the shooting.
On August 5, 2026, officers located Tomarrion Smith in the area of Knight Arnold Rd. and S Mendenhall Rd. where he was taken into custody without incident.
Tomarrion Smith was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder, First-Degree Murder in Perpetration of a Robbery, and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
