On August 8, 2026, at approximately 11:19 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of Brookins St.

Upon arrival, officers located three victims. One female victim was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. A male victim and a female victim were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Two additional victims later arrived at the hospital by private vehicle and were listed in non-critical condition.

Preliminary information revealed that a large party was taking place at the location when a fight broke out. During the altercation, suspects fired multiple rounds before fleeing the scene. 

Investigators have since identified three in connection with the shooting.

This was an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Update – 08/09/26: Three victims have been released from the hospital. One victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Update – 08/10/26: The fourth victim remains hospitalized but is now listed in stable condition.

Update – 08/10/26: Arrest warrants have been issued for two of the identified suspects in connection to this shooting. Investigators are gathering additional information on the third suspect.

Update – 08/10/26: The two suspects connected to Saturday night’s deadly shooting are now in custody. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
